A Free Press Needs You
A poster that informs and promotes freedom of the press.
“Freedom of the Press”, protected by the First Amendment, is the principle that communication and expression through various media should be considered a basic human right to be exercised freely. However, the trust between journalists and the public has been broken in recent years. Many deem information they don't like to be "fake news", and call journalists the "enemy of the people." Attacks against the press are threatening to journalists and the democracy of the United States. Inspired particularly by the incident of Jamal Khashoggi, a Saudi journalist who was assassinated in Istanbul, I wanted to raise awareness of this issue and advocate the importance of a free press.
