A recreation of Gerrit Rietveld's 1963 commission the Steltman chair set.

Recreating a pair of these chairs meant translating scale drawings and pictures into physical pieces of wood. From rough sawn planks, we jointed, planed and dimensioned each piece from solid beech. This experience taught us to embrace the imperfections and to appreciate the process involved in creating something real and tangible.
